OUR SCHOOL

OUR VISION

St. Joan of Arc is a Catholic parish primary school located in the Bayside suburb of Brighton. We are a family-oriented community, which works together to create an inclusive atmosphere striving to inspire excellence.

The community of St. Joan of Arc aims to:

9

Lead children to know that faith is at the centre of our learning and to foster a love of God through prayer, relationships, Catholic traditions, connection with parish and through living out our school motto ‘Faith in Action’.

9

Develop relationships that are influenced by the values promoted by Jesus in the Gospels, which reflect our contemporary Catholic beliefs.

9
Provide learning that is a continual and developmental process where all students have the right to a contemporary, relevant and comprehensive education that equips them to be lifelong learners.
9

Staff are committed to recognizing individual needs, ensuring the opportunity for each child to develop their maximum potential: socially, emotionally, academically, spiritually, creatively and physically.

9

Provide a learning environment that is safe, recognises the partnerships between parents and staff, where wellbeing is nurtured, differences respected and where a sense of welcome and acceptance extends through the school.

9

Inspire, empower and support all members of our school community to be leaders and learners, sharing the responsibility to improve student learning through innovative, collaborative and creative practice.

9

Develop, value and foster positive relationships between students, parents, teachers, families, parish and the broader community.

9

Prepare children to be critical thinkers for participation in an ever-changing Australian society and global community.
